NEW Martin MAC Ultra Performance

The Martin MAC Ultra Performance is an extremely bright LED moving head profile fixture built for large-scale live events, touring rigs, broadcast studios, and theater stages where high-output projection and low noise operation both matter. It raises the bar for powerful moving lights with benchmark output across the zoom range, higher definition optics, a next generation framing system, and astoundingly low noise levels.

High-Output LED Engine for Long-Run Productions

At its core is the proprietary 1150 W LED light engine designed for demanding show schedules, delivering 46,500 lumens from the fixture in projection and up to 3,000,000 cd peak intensity. The engine is specified at 50,000+ hours minimum LED lifetime and uses 84 x 20 W white LEDs, supporting high-resolution dimming, strobing, and Martin’s unique Animotion effect. The native color temperature is specified at 5800 K (+/- 250 K), with variable control down to 2850 K for matching cameras, practicals, or tungsten-heavy stage looks.

Optics, Zoom, and Precision Projection

A refined projection system with a 160 mm front lens delivers clean imaging and smooth transitions across a 1:7 zoom range (8.0° to 54° field angle). Precision focus control includes auto tracking to help maintain sharpness through zoom moves and programming changes, which is especially useful for long throws and cue-heavy shows.

Color, Texture, and Beam-Shaping Tools

The feature set is designed for modern concert and broadcast workflows, with CMY color mixing, variable CTO, and a color wheel featuring 6 interchangeable dichroic filters (including a Spectral Enhancement Filter) for color correction and creative looks. Two layers of rotating gobos (each with 5 interchangeable gobos plus open) and a full-function animation wheel (indexing and continuous rotation with variable angle) support aerial texture, breakup, and dynamic motion in the beam.

For precise control on stage and scenic work, the Extended Framing module provides individual blade movement (+/- 30° across the entire beam) and +/- 83° rotation, supported by iris control, frost (fade in) for softening edges, and a 4-facet prism for multi-beam effects. Pan and tilt remain responsive and accurate with 540° pan and 268° tilt.

Quiet Operation and Modern Control Options

The MAC Ultra Performance is well-suited to noise-sensitive applications thanks to a low-noise cooling system and user-selectable output versus sound level control. For pixel-style looks and previsualization workflows, it also supports P3 videomapping of fixture color and/or intensity across 10 segments, plus two ranges of pre-programmed FX for fast programming.
