NEW PROLIGHTS Jet Spot4Z

Jet Spot4Z is a 180W 6.800 K LED spotlight designed to replace a 700W discharge fixture in theatres, concert halls and a host of other venues. The compact size allows for the use of this luminaire in venues with low ceilings without resorting to zoom. Its custom optical system delivers a consistent output with a flat-field and crisp gobo projection right through the massive 8° to 40° zoom range.

Optimized Output and Optics for Precise Projection

Built around high-quality glass lens optics with motorized focus and a motorized linear zoom, the Jet Spot4Z is designed for sharp imaging across its range, from tight beams to broader stage coverage. The 7,518 lm luminous flux and flat-field output help maintain even illumination, while the crisp projection supports clean edges on gobos and patterns when used in theatrical specials, key light accents, or aerial effects.

Color Control, Gobos, and Beam Effects

For creative flexibility, Jet Spot4Z uses a CMY color mixing system on three gradually fading colour wheels, plus six dichroic filters on three independent colour wheels. It also provides CCT options on wheel (2,500 K and 3,200 K) plus CTB for balancing to warmer looks or matching mixed lighting on stage. Texture and breakup options include 7 rotating, interchangeable gobos (with indexing), plus 8 fixed gobos. For additional beam shaping and motion, it includes a 3-facet circular prism with bi-directional rotation and indexing, a linear 0–100% frost filter for softening, and a motorized iris (5–100%) to tighten the beam or create punchier mid-air looks.

Movement, Control, and Installation

With 540° pan and 270° tilt, plus 8/16-bit resolution, the fixture supports both fast moves and smoother, more refined positioning. Feedback with automatic repositioning helps maintain accuracy after accidental movement. Control is via DMX512 with RDM for remote monitoring and settings, with 23/25/27 DMX channel modes to fit different programming needs. A black, high-resolution TFT display simplifies on-unit setup.

Power, Reliability, and Venue-Friendly Operation

Jet Spot4Z runs on 100–240V, 50/60Hz with a maximum power consumption of 250W (252W at 120V). Daisy-chaining support allows up to 14 units on a single power line at 230V (8 units at 120V). Active cooling is designed for silent operation, making it suitable for theatres and quieter performance spaces. The LED source is rated for 50,000 hours of life expectancy.

Build and Connectivity

The fixture features an aluminum structure with a high-resistance polycarbonate cover in black, IP20 rating, and transport-friendly pan/tilt locks for maintenance and handling. Connections include Amphenol XLR 3-pin and 5-pin IN/OUT for signal, plus Neutrik powerCON IN/OUT for power. Dimensions are 332 x 544 x 230 mm (13.07 x 21.42 x 9.06 in), and weight is 18.6 kg (41.01 lb).
