The Tannoy i9 is a tall, slim loudspeaker designed for high quality music and speech reinforcement in acoustically difficult, highly reverberant environments. Line-Source Driver Layout for Controlled Coverage

The high power handling Tannoy i9 loudspeaker cabinet is equipped with four 130mm (5.00”) low frequency direct radiating drive units and three 25mm (1.00”) titanium dome tweeter arranged as a line source. This configuration is intended to maintain clarity and intelligibility over distance, especially in challenging rooms where reflections can smear speech and music detail.

Flexible Installation and System Compatibility

For installed audio systems, the i9 offers switchable 70 Volt / 100 Volt or 8 Ohms operation, along with multi tap voltage and wattage for easier matching to distributed audio amplifiers and system design requirements. The built-in THP 60 line transformer is specified to provide low insertion loss, supporting more dynamic performance with extended bandwidth.

Coverage, Mounting Options, and Physical Specs

Designed for discreet placement, the i9 features a slim line profile and wide controlled dispersion (120 degrees x 40 degrees) to help cover the desired space with fewer speaker locations. It supports installation with the mounting yoke (i9Y) and multiple angle bracket (i9 MAB).
