The Martin MAC Axiom Hybrid is a compact, all-in-one moving head that combines beam and spot performance in a single fixture, plus a diffused wash look via frost. It is designed for high-impact mid-air effects and crisp projections, with a high-precision optical system that delivers strong contrast and a surprisingly flat field for short-arc lamp technology. With the MAC Viper CMY color palette (real CMYC mixing), you can quickly dial in everything from subtle pastels to deep, saturated colors.

Optics, output, and zoom flexibility

A continuous 2-44° zoom lets you move from a tight, high-intensity beam to wider coverage without switching beam/spot modes. Output is rated at 16,000 lumens wide and 14,000 lumens narrow, with up to 31,000,000 cd in a narrow beam for punchy aerial looks. The beamsmoother helps even out the field for flatter projection, and the frost filter provides a softer wash effect when you need it.

Color and effects for shows and rentals

In addition to CMYC color mixing, an independent 16-slot color wheel expands fast color changes and split looks. Two gobo wheels (9 rotating and 16 static) support super-crisp projection and high contrast on surfaces and in mid-air, and animation effects are integrated into the fixed gobo wheel for movement on scenic elements.

For beam shaping, the fixture includes independent 3- and 8-facet prisms, plus a patented dynamic prism lineator zoom effect for layered, evolving aerial looks.

Power and control integration

The MAC Axiom Hybrid supports DMX via 5-pin XLR and includes RDM functionality for compatible controllers and software. Power is handled through a PowerCon TRUE1 mains input, and it operates on 100-240 V with 600 W total power consumption. A backlit LCD onboard display with auto-flip makes addressing and setup easier in different hanging orientations.

Physical profile

Built for performance in a compact footprint, it weighs 24.8 kg (54.7 lbs.), making it easier to rig and tour compared with larger-format moving heads.
