NEW ADJ Jolt Panel FX2

The ADJ Lighting Jolt Panel FX2 is an innovative multi-use strobe, wash and eye candy fixture built for large stages, nightclubs, live events and touring. It is equipped with 800 x 0.5-Watt RGB SMD LEDs for color strobe, wash and pixel-style effects, plus 48 x 5-Watt cool white SMD LEDs in the center to deliver the traditional, punchy strobe look. Both LED types are grouped into independent controllable zones (6 white and 40 color), which makes it easy to build animated chase patterns, color sweeps and high-impact hits that read clearly from a distance.

Pixel zoning and built-in looks for fast programming

With 40 RGB zones and 6 cool white zones, the Jolt Panel FX2 can be programmed as a straightforward audience blinder-style strobe, a rich color wash, or a zone-mapped pixel effect for movement and energy across the face of the fixture. For quick setup, it also includes 25 built-in RGB LED program macros and 9 built-in cool white LED program macros, along with strobe, shutter and pulse control (max strobe rate 20Hz, min strobe rate 1Hz). Smooth 0-100% dimming, 6 dim modes (Standard, Stage, TV, Architectural, Theatre & Stage 2) and 4 selectable dim curves (Linear, Square Law, Inv Square Law and S Curve) help you match the output and fade behavior to camera work, theatrical cues, or aggressive club looks.

Wireless DMX built-in, plus wired control and RDM

Building off the success of the original Jolt Panel FX, the new Jolt Panel FX2 features upgrades that will help Lighting Designers add a new level of creativity to their lightshows. ADJ’s proprietary Aria X2 wireless DMX is built-in to each fixture (it is also compatible with ADJ’s WiFLY EXR wireless DMX), allowing data distribution to occur wirelessly when running cable is impractical or time is limited. For conventional networks, it supports DMX and RDM, and offers 10 DMX modes (6, 9, 13, 18, 36, 41, 51, 81, 126 and 141 channel modes) so you can choose anything from simple control to detailed pixel zoning.

Optics, filters and light shaping flexibility

There is a channel system on the front of the unit that allows for light shaping filters to be easily and conveniently added to the fixture. These filters blur the pixel dots and provide another creative way to change the look from project to project, especially useful when you want a smoother wash on camera or a less “pixelated” appearance. The fixture outputs a 73° beam angle and 111° field angle for wide coverage, and the cool white source is rated 6900-7400K (CRI 69.4).

Tour-ready connections and straightforward setup

The Jolt Panel FX2 offers users an easy way to navigate built-in features from an OLED display with a 4-button touch menu. The display allows users to change dimming modes, dimming speed, programs, color macros, LED refresh rate and gamma settings, as well as setting the DMX address and channel modes. The rear panel has conveniently located IP20 indoor locking 5-pin DMX in/out connections, plus IP20 indoor locking power in/out sockets to daisy chain power. It operates on 100-240V 50Hz/60Hz (auto sensing), with max power consumption of 214W @120V and 208W @230V, and max power link of 6pcs @120V and 12pcs @230V+.

Build, mounting and specifications

Designed for demanding environments, the fixture is fuse protected (T5A/250V glass fuse, 5*20mm) and is rated for 50,000 hours average LED life. It measures 5.28 in (134.2mm) long, 16.42 in (417mm) wide and 10.26 in (260.5mm) high, and weighs 13.67 lbs (6.2 kg). The rear panel includes holes to connect an omega bracket to the Jolt Panel FX2 as an alternative to its variable angle bracket.
