NEW Ayrton Zonda 9 is a stage-lighting moving-head wash luminaire built around a high-performance 40-Watt RGB+W LED source with additive colour synthesis, designed to deliver a clean, even field for concerts, theatre, touring, and broadcast-ready productions. Its proprietary LED/optical system combines a wide dial of 37 PMMA lenses (384 mm diameter) with 37 glass light guides featuring an optical micro-structure output surface, producing up to 25,000 lumens with a perfectly homogeneous mixture of pastel and saturated colours, regardless of the colour mix chosen. The perfectly crisp separation between the light sources helps to reinforce the level of contrast.

Optics and Beam Control

Endowed with a 50 mm truncated transmitting lens with an optical surface equivalent to that of a 70 mm round lens, ZONDA 9 WASH can obtain a highly intensive beam with a 14:1 zoom ratio and a wide zoom range of 4° to 56°. The 2-element high-resolution optic system supports fast, motorised linear zoom, making it easy to move from tight aerial looks to wide, smooth washes without changing fixtures or positions.

Color Quality and Creative Tools

The careful colour mixing of the sources allows for perfect colour reproduction, with CRI up to 86 for more natural skin tones and scenic rendering when required. You can control each concentric circle to adjust the size of the emitting surface and the luminaire’s power, which helps when matching beam character across a rig or building layered effects. A complete library of pre-programmed colours created in collaboration with lighting designers is instantly accessible.

Movement, Precision, and Camera-Friendly Output

For reliable cue-to-cue repeatability, ZONDA 9 WASH offers extremely accurate positioning with moving-head control via either 8- or 16-bit resolution. High-resolution stepper motors operated via microprocessors ensure extreme accuracy and smooth movements, with PAN and TILT automatic repositioning. The moving-head range is 540° (pan) and 270° (tilt). Flicker free sources management makes it suitable for TV applications and all video recorded events.

Thermal Design and Practical Rigging Considerations

A new optimised cooling system, simplified lens guidance systems, and ever smarter design of the internal structure have made it possible to reduce the size and weight of the luminaire considerably Slim-21. A silent ventilation mode was specially developed for this fixture, supporting noise-sensitive environments.
