NEW Ayrton Eurus Profile

The NEW Ayrton Eurus Profile is a multi-function moving-head profile luminaire designed for stage, studio, and other applications where precise framing and high-quality image projection are critical. A new addition to the 6 Series, EURUS is the first multi-function profile luminaire launched under the new SLIM-21TM programme for miniaturising fixtures and reducing their weight. AYRTON has developed a new high-efficiency power supply in an entirely new die-cast aluminium base that takes up 33% less volume than in other luminaires of the same category. A lighter internal structure and all-new miniaturised stepper motors add to the final result.

This new luminaire boasts optics specifically developed for applications requiring perfect image reproduction and significantly reduced distortion caused by the shutter blades in wide zoom. Fitted with a 170 mm frontal lens, the proprietary optical system uses 13 lenses, producing an 11:1 zoom ratio and a zoom range of 4.5° to 50°, with fast motorised linear zoom and tempered anti-reflective coated lenses.

Light Engine Options for Stage or High-Accuracy Color

EURUS is available in two versions: S and TC. EURUS S, specially designed for stage applications, is equipped with a new 650 W ultra-compact monochromatic LED emitter calibrated at 8200 K, it can deliver metallic white light with an output of 36,000 lumens at a colour temperature of 6700 K. EURUS TC is geared for applications that require perfect colour rendition, using a monochromatic light source with a native colour rendering index greater than 90, at a colour temperature of 6000 K.

For quick spec comparison, the Eurus Profile S provides a 45,600 lumens 8200 K white light engine (with total luminaire output up to 36,000 lumens, 6700 K, CRI greater than 70). The Eurus Profile TC provides a 32,000 lumens 7000 K white light engine (with total luminaire output up to 25,000 lumens, 6200 K, CRI greater than 90). Both are rated up to 40,000 hours (L70) and feature flicker-free source management suitable for TV applications and video-recorded events.

Color, Framing, and Image Projection

Feature-packed from the factory, EURUS includes a subtractive CMY colour mixing system combined with a variable CTO and a seven-position complementary colour wheel for displaying an infinite palette of vivid pastels and saturated colours. In addition, the colour section contains two additional filters for optimising the colour rendering index and TM30 readings.

The framing section allows accurate positioning of each shutter blade on a 100% surface area in all positions, so that the user can frame any object regardless of the luminaire’s position. This supports tight keying on scenic elements, masking spill, and building clean geometric looks without relying on external cutters.

The image section includes 18 interchangeable HD glass gobos on two wheels: one rotating wheel with seven positions and one fixed wheel with eleven positions, giving you flexible texture and logo-style projection options for touring, theatre, and broadcast.

Effects and Beam Control

The effects section includes one continuous dynamic effect-wheel, 15-blade iris diaphragm, two frost filters (one for light and one for heavy diffusion), and two combinable rotating prisms (one circular with 5 facets and one linear with 4 facets). These tools make it easy to transition from crisp mid-air beams to softened washes, and to build layered, animated looks from a single fixture.

Motion Accuracy and Quiet Cooling

Extremely accurate positioning is supported by high-resolution stepper motors operated via microprocessors to ensure smooth movement, with moving-head control via either 8- or 16-bit resolution and pan and tilt automatic repositioning. The moving head range is 540° (pan) and 266° (tilt).

EURUS has a highly efficient phase-change liquid cooling system using a heat pipe that includes a particularly effective ultra-silent ventilation mode, designed for stage and studio applications where low acoustic noise matters.
