NEW Ayrton Levante

Ayrton now introduces Levante, a dramatically miniaturised version of the Bora wash light, designed for demanding stage, studio, and event applications that need high-performance wash output in an ultra-compact moving-head format. Levante is a marvel of technology that will attract the most demanding lighting designers. The “S” version, weighing only 22 kg, can deliver light output greater than 20,000 lumens while consuming only 300 W.

Optics Built for Clean, Even Wash Coverage

Fitted with a spherical frontal 138 mm lens, the proprietary optical system, using 13 lenses and developed specifically for wash-type applications, features a zoom ratio of over a 8:1 and an impressive zoom range from 6.9° to 57°. The optics produce an extremely uniform flat beam with no hot spot, ensuring a perfect colour mix regardless of the colour combination selected. For designers who need to soften edges without changing the look of the beam, Levante adds a high-transmission diffusion filter to the zoom lens group to erase the edge of the beam without changing its angle, plus a variable linear frost system to dial in diffusion with precision.

Beam Shaping and Effects, Including Barndoors

A new barndoors module allows the four shutter blades to be freely positioned on 100% of the surface area so that any object can be framed regardless of the luminaire’s position. For additional visual versatility, Levante includes a 15-blade iris diaphragm and a wheel with seven indexable rotating gobos supplied as standard equipment.

Two Engine Options, Output vs. Color Fidelity

Levante is available in two versions: the S and the TC. The S version can produce ultra high output, generating metallic white light calibrated at 7000 K and is specially designed for stage applications. The TC version, geared for situations that require perfect colour rendition, has a native colour rendering index greater than 90 and high TM30 readings.

Feature-rich from the factory, Levante is equipped with a CMY colour mixing system which, combined with a variable CTO and a wheel with seven complementary colours, produces an infinite palette of vivid pastels and saturated colours.

Movement, Control, and Rig-Ready Connectivity

Built for accurate, repeatable focus and cueing, Levante uses high-resolution stepper motors operated via microprocessors for smooth movement and highly accurate positioning. It supports moving-head operation via either 8- or 16-bit resolution, with a movement range of 540° pan and 263° tilt, plus pan and tilt with automatic repositioning.

For system integration, Levante supports local DMX addressing and optional parameters through its built-in LCD control panel, as well as remote addressing via RDM. Connections include XLR 5-pin DMX in/out and powerCON TRUE1 in/out for power linking. It also includes an integrated wireless CRMX TiMo RDM receiver from LumenRadio. An information menu provides hour counter, temperature, and software version, with a graphic LCD display (including flip function) and a clicking jog wheel for quick setup. Flicker-free source management makes Levante suitable for TV applications and all video-recorded events.

Cooling, Construction, and Physical Specs

Levante uses a highly efficient phase-change liquid cooling system using a heat pipe and includes a particularly effective ultra-silent ventilation mode, designed for stage and studio applications. The moving-head skeleton is made of aluminium and steel plates with a die-cast aluminium base, aluminium and copper heatsinks, and moulded covers in self-extinguishing fire retardant ABS PC (V0 class). It includes two-side handles for transportation and four heavy-duty feet for stability, with an IP20 protection rating and black (Carbon) exterior finish.
