NEW ROBE ROBIN iESPRITE

The NEW ROBE ROBIN iESPRITE is an IP65-rated LED moving head fixture built for outdoor stages, touring, and permanent installs where weather, dust, haze, and temperature swings are part of the job. It combines Robe’s latest ingress protection technology with the highly desired ESPRITE® performance and effects, delivering the same output and feature set in a fully protected package capable of handling demanding outdoor environments.

iESPRITE® again avoids the traditional weight penalty associated with IP-rated fixtures, with similar weight to the indoor ESPRITE®. With class-leading form factor, size and appearance, and all the features and identical performance of the indoor original, iESPRITE® enables seamless integration between models, even on the same truss if desired.

Outdoor-Ready Protection and Maintenance

The ingenious ingress protection system is designed to support standard maintenance and preparation procedures, such as TRANSFERABLE ENGINE exchange and gobo replacement, without additional tools. That means common service tasks can be handled on-site, without changing your usual workflow. The onboard patented RAINS™ (Robe Automatic Ingress Neutralization System) actively manages humidity, temperature, and pressure, automatically removing any detected internal moisture while continuously monitoring to help maintain consistent performance.

iESPRITE® runs a Self Pressure Test to check internal pressure. This self-test, taking less than 3 minutes, provides an error message if gaskets and covers were not replaced correctly or locking screws were incorrectly tightened, helping confirm the fixture is sealed and ready for outdoor use.

Lightweight magnesium alloy covers with an aluminium alloy substructure create a dust-free environment for the optics, reducing frequent cleaning and routine maintenance, and minimizing UV damage to plastic parts. To help maintain high lumen output through outdoor use, water, dirt, dust, haze, and smoke are repelled from the front lens with parCoat™ hydrophobic, oleophobic-resistant coating, allowing easier deposit removal without scratching or damage.

Setup, Diagnostics, and Cold-Weather Operation

With NFC (Near-Field Communication) technology, you can access setup, diagnostic, and performance features from a mobile device using the Robe Com app, even when the fixture is not powered. For extreme conditions, iESPRITE® includes POLAR+™ technology, a special low-power standby mode where sensors and communications remain active. When activated, POLAR+™ automatically maintains internal temperature, enabling instant operability down to minus 50 degrees centigrade.

Light Engine, Output, and Color Control

iESPRITE® is available with a choice of patented IP65-rated iSE-TE™ 650W White LED TRANSFERABLE ENGINES, HP (High Performance) 6.700 K, 34.000 lm CRI70, and HCF (High Colour Fidelity) 6.000 K, 22.800 lm CRI 96. The HP engine delivers LED engine output of 55.000 lm, with fixture total lumen output of 34.000 lm (integrating sphere) and 27.000 lm (goniophotometer), plus 85.000 lx @ 5 m illuminance. It supports remotely selectable CRI 80 and CRI 90 filters (HP Engine), variable CTO from 3.000K to 6.700K, and ChromaTint (plus/minus green correction) for finer tuning across different cameras and ambient conditions.

The optical system provides a 9:1 zoom range from 5.5° to 50°, with motorized zoom and focus for quick transitions from tight aerial beams to broader looks. CMY color mixing supports smooth transitions, and two color wheels (each with 5 fixed dichroic colors plus white) add fast-access color options.

Effects and Beam Shaping

For precise shaping, iESPRITE® includes patented Plano4™ four-plane framing shutters with four individually positionable blades and rotation of the complete frame system (+/- 60°). Effects include one rotating, indexable and replaceable gobo wheel (7 gobos plus open, with patented slot and lock system), one static gobo wheel (9 gobos plus open), an aluminium animation wheel (bi-directional variable speed), a 6-facet prism (bi-directional variable speed), and a motorized iris with pulse effects up to 3 Hz. MagFrost™ uses a magnetic paddle fast-change system, supplying a very light 1° frost for subtle softening and a medium 5° frost for a more even wash, both selected for theatre and TV use. Electronic strobe is variable up to 20 Hz, and high-resolution electronic dimming includes L3 (Low Light Linearity) with imperceptible 18-bit dimming for smooth fades to black.

To reduce distracting movement during startup, MAPS™ (Motionless Absolute Positioning System) allows the fixture to fully calibrate while remaining static, which can be especially useful in confined rigging locations.

Networking, Monitoring, and Camera-Friendly Performance

For installations that require maintained network connectivity, Epass™ is available as standard. REAP™ (Robe Ethernet Access Portal) provides access to fixture information and diagnostics over Ethernet networks, supporting centralized monitoring and service workflows. For broadcast and event production, Cpulse™ provides flicker-free management for HD and UHD cameras, ready for 8K and 16K. AirLOC (Less Optical Cleaning) technology helps reduce airborne particles drawn over optical elements, increasing light quality and extending time between routine cleaning and maintenance.

System Compatibility

iESPRITE® is fully compatible with Robe’s RoboSpot™ remote-controlled follow-spot system, enabling remote operation in venues where followspot position, sightlines, or safety requirements limit traditional manual spotting.
