The versatile NEW Ayrton MagicBlade FX is an exciting new iteration of Ayrton’s award-winning MagicBlade R, which has been sold by the thousands for use on major musical tours worldwide. Designed for touring, broadcast, and permanent installations, it combines tight beam looks, wide wash coverage, and pixel-style control to build bold aerial textures, virtual scenery, and dynamic set illumination from a compact moving-head platform.

FX Optical Zoom for Beam-to-Wash Versatility

This new MagicBlade is equipped with the revolutionary FX optical zoom system that has no visible moving parts and a fixed transmitting lens. With a 15:1 zoom ratio, the beam angle of this proprietary system ranges from 3.6º to 53º, letting you switch from narrow, high-impact beams to broad coverage for scenic and performer light. It features seven squared 65 mm transmitting lenses, each with an equivalent optical surface to a round lens with an 80 mm diameter that is combined with a ultra-powerful, low-etendue, LED emitter, enabling MagicBlade FX to project intense beams to help create 3D volumetric effects.

Seven Individually Controllable RGBW Cells

The MagicBlade FX has seven next-generation RGBW high-output LEDs that can be individually controlled to create airborne virtual scenery or to illuminate sets and performers. Crisp separation between LED sources supports clean, readable graphics and pixel-style effects, whether you are using it as a beam array, a wash source, or a matrix fixture.

Effects, Color Control, and Flicker-Free Output

An onboard library of pre-programmed effects and colour macros can be combined with console driven control in various display modes. The 4-color RGBW mixing system is designed to deliver rich saturated looks and usable pastel hues, with a virtual color wheel including common white color temperature presets. For camera environments, flicker-free source management makes it suitable for TV applications and recorded events. Dimming is electronic from 0 to 100% without color variation, and strobe is available in white or color from 1 to 25 flashes per second.

Tour-Ready Motion and Professional Control Protocols

MagicBlade FX is built for precise, repeatable positioning, with high-resolution stepper motors and moving-head operation via either 8- or 16-bit resolution. It supports infinite pan and tilt rotation with automatic repositioning, enabling continuous motion effects and consistent focus on target positions.

MagicBlade FX has extended serial connectivity and can be controlled DMX-512 w/ RDM, ArtNet, sACN or a wireless link with CRMX TiMo RDM from LumenRadio, making it easy to integrate into modern lighting networks for touring rigs, venues, and studios.
