The Vari-Lite VL10 BeamWash is a compact moving head beam and wash fixture built for high-impact mid-air looks and punchy wash coverage. It produces 28,000 lumens and weighs just 33kg (73lb), making it a practical choice for tours, houses of worship, broadcast, and rental inventories that need big-output looks in a smaller, easier-to-rig package.

Beam-to-Wash Performance

The VL10 BeamWash delivers a wide zoom range from 2.2° to 48° for tight aerial beams, textured projection, and broad stage coverage. For even tighter looks, the narrowest beam reduction reaches 0.7°. A large 180mm front lens helps create strong stage presence typically associated with larger fixtures, while the ultra-compact body measures 704 x 501 x 320mm (28 x 20 x 13in).

Effects, Gobos, and Aerial Tools

A suite of dynamic effects offers extensive creative options, from the dual overlaying prisms to the aperture wheel, rotating gobo wheel, and aerial effects from the VL*FX wheel. The fixture is feature loaded for mid-air effects with 4 beam reduction options plus 8 beam shapes fixed apertures gobos and 8 fully rotating gobos. The exclusive VL*FX animation wheel system is designed to create dynamic projected and mid-air effects, helping designers build movement and texture without relying on external media.

Color and Frost for Flexible Looks

VL’s enhanced CYM system and fixed color wheel give designers a full palette, from subtle tinting to deeper reds and blues. An internal frost provides image softening with variable 1° frost, and a heavy frost lens creates a strong, even wash for wash mode when you need smooth coverage instead of defined beams.

Lamp and Output

The VL10 BeamWash uses a Philips 25R Platinum 550W lamp and is rated at 28,000 lumen output (up to 640,000 lux @ 10m (33ft)), supporting long-throw beams and clear aerial visibility in larger rooms and arenas.
