The Datapath Fx4 Multi Display Controller is a stand-alone video wall and multi-monitor controller designed for digital signage, control rooms, and other multi-display installations where you need to split one high-resolution source across multiple screens. It supports UHD / 4K (4096 x 2160p) at 60fps input and delivers four synchronized outputs, letting you build a flexible multi-display canvas without relying on a host PC for processing.

Flexible Inputs and Stand-Alone Control

The Fx4 features a DisplayPort 1.2 main input alongside two HDMI 1.4 inputs, with an intuitive user interface that allows users to determine which input is used. High bandwidth loop-through is supported, and network or USB interfaces provide platform-independent control (including MAC OSX 10.13 and later).

Advanced Output Mapping for Video Walls and Multi-Monitor Layouts

Each output monitor can take its input from any region of the input image, with cropping, scaling, rotation, mirroring, bezel correction, and frame-rate conversion handled directly by Fx4 hardware. Regions can overlap to replicate content across outputs or create custom splices of source material, supporting non-rectangular screen arrangements and mixed monitor orientations. The unit also supports true stand-alone operation, adapting to changes in inputs by adjusting scale factors as needed.

HDCP Support and Failover Image

For protected content workflows, the Fx4 supports HDCP 1.4 on all inputs and outputs. For reliability in public-facing signage, you can pre-load an image for immediate display when the signal is not detected (for example, if a source device or cable fails).
