Designed for DMX512 Switching

Doug Fleenor Design makes a series of selector switches specifically designed to switch DMX512 signals. Originally designed to switch between primary and backup consoles, these switches are often used to select from two (or more) input locations. The SW1 switches a single DMX512 universe (one A input, one B input, one output).

Connectors, Switching, and Build Details

Doug Fleenor Design Switch Boxes consist of a high reliability switch (rocker or rotary) wired to Neutrik five pin gold plated XLR style connectors (three pin or terminal block optional). The units are housed in metal enclosures of appropriate size and are rack mountable (with optional rack ears). The standard units switch the Data+ and Data- lines (pins 2 and 3), with custom options available to switch any or all contacts. Custom "remote switch" units using relays in place of the manual switch are also available.
