NEW Doug Fleenor Enhanced Isolated Opto Splitter

The NEW Doug Fleenor Enhanced Isolated Opto Splitter (Enhanced2 125EE) is a DMX512 splitter/amplifier designed to let you distribute one DMX line into five fully isolated outputs for reliable control in demanding venues and harsh electrical environments. Like Doug Fleenor’s standard splitters, the input and each output are isolated from each other through optical couplers, and every output has its own power supply and line driver to help prevent one problematic run or fixture from affecting the rest of your system.

Built for Harsh Electrical Conditions

For protection against electrical storms and power anomalies, the 125EE adds four transient absorbers on the input (two on +Data and two on -Data), two on each output (one on +Data and one on -Data), and one on the power line. To protect against miswiring, it includes self resetting fuses on the DMX512 input and outputs, protecting the splitter against damaging voltages up to 120 volts. Input transients up to 5KV can be tolerated, and each output is also protected for transients up to 5KV.

Cleaner DMX Distribution, Star Topology Support

The 125EE allows connection of DMX receivers (dimmers, color changers, moving lights, etc.) in a star configuration as opposed to a daisy chain configuration. In a star configuration, each control cable is run to a central point, in this case the splitter. In a daisy chain configuration all the devices are connected on one control cable, the output of one feeding the input of the next. It is good practice to limit the number of receivers on a DMX512 output to 32 devices. The 125EE also gives you five outputs from one input allowing up to 160 receivers (32 per output).

Status Indicators and Termination Visibility

Front-panel indicators on each output display power and termination status, helping you quickly confirm which runs are active and how each line is configured. Indicators on the input display signal present and valid DMX for faster troubleshooting when you are tracking down cabling, console, or data issues.
