NEW Hubbell 50A, 125/250V Twist-Lock - Female connector body for secure, high-amperage cord terminations where a locking connection helps prevent accidental disconnects. Built for 3-pole, 4-wire grounding applications, it supports portable service cords and accepts #10 AWG to #6 AWG conductors for common 50A wiring needs.

Key Electrical Specs and Fit
Rated 50A at 125/250V AC with a 3-pole, 4-wire grounding wiring scheme. The connector accommodates round portable service cords within a .750" to 1.125" (19.1 to 29.2 mm) diameter range, as defined by UL Standard 62 and CSA C22.2 No. 49.
Materials and Construction
The housing uses black Supertough Nylon with internal components designed for durability in demanding environments, including a black nylon contact nose, brass contact spring and binding plate, and brass ground contact. Hardware includes zinc-plated steel pressure screws (terminal and ground) and 302/304 stainless steel screws (cord clamp and assembly). Sealing components include neoprene (seal) and nylon (seal cup), with an IP20 moisture resistance rating.
Performance and Safety Details
Dielectric voltage withstand is 2,000V minimum. The device is certified for current interrupting at full rated current, and is designed for a maximum 30C temperature rise at full rated current after 50 cycles of overload at 150% of rated current at a power factor of 0.75. Operating temperature range is -40 C minimum (without impact) to 75 C maximum continuous. Terminals are identified in accordance with UL 498 (X, Y, Z, White, Green), with ratings molded in or stamped on the body and the catalog number permanently ink marked on the product.
