Designed for DMX512 lighting control and other 5-pin data runs, Proplex series data cables are built to survive the toughest conditions, yet handle and coil well, again and again and again. They have been exhaustively developed, tested and re-tested.
Built for Reliable DMX Data Transmission
These cables use 110 Ohm characteristic impedance, the standard impedance required for DMX signal integrity, helping reduce reflections and data errors on longer runs and in electrically noisy environments. A dual-shield construction combines an aluminum/mylar inner shield (100% coverage) with a tinned copper braided outer shield (85% coverage) to support consistent performance in demanding show and event setups.
Durable, Tour-Ready Construction
Inside, 23 AWG (0.34 mm2) tinned, annealed copper conductors (stranded 19 x 34) are paired with a Kevlar strength member to improve durability under repeated handling. The black UV-resistant polyurethane jacket is engineered for flex and toughness, with 550% elongation and 5,000 psi tensile strength. The cable is easy to route with a 0.285 in (7.24 mm) nominal outside diameter and a 1.75 in minimum bend radius.
